What is Quake 4?
Quake 4 is the next game in id Software's infamous Quake game franchise, all started by Quake itself
in 1995. Quake 4 is continuing Quake 2's and is planned to be a DOOM 3 engine powered in your face sci-fi flick action game.
However, it is not being developed by id Software.
Who is developing Quake 4?
Quake 4 is being developed by Raven Software, who have developed Triple-A quality titles such as
the Star Trek: Elite Force, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy and Soldier of Fortune
game series, and many more.
Who will publish Quake 4?
Quake 4 will be published by Activision.
What gaming platforms will Quake 4 be for?
Quake 4 will be for Windows and Xbox 360.
What's the current release date for Quake 4?
The PC version has already been unleashed, but the Xbox 360 version port has been slated for November 18th, 2005! There's also a Mac OS X version port of it pencilled to come out soon enough. (roughly Q2-3 2006)
When will the SDK be released?

It's been released! Weighing 326MB, head on over and download it over at id Software's site.
What engine is Quake 4 powered by?
Quake 4 is powered by the DOOM 3 engine which should do all the 5 year lasting a million bucks worth miracles visually, audio wise, physics wise and etc
that DOOM 3 does.

Nothing is officially yet known of Quake 4's system requirements, but it's ideal to keep an eye out on the

Single Player FAQ
What's known about Quake 4's Single Player?
Quake 4's Single Player is set out to be a DOOM 3 engine powered sci-fi fast action paced Single Player mission continuening the Quake 2 story.
This time there will be support for vehicles and there will be some twists and turns in the story as well as some interesting new events, such as the invasion of Earth and continuation of the War of the Strogg, being captured and mutated with Strogg amplified capabilities, and so forth. Quake 4's Single Player will indeed be strong,
to say the least.

What's known about Quake 4's Multiplayer?
Quake 4's multiplayer component will be very similar to Quake 3 Arena's, a deathmatch, team deathmatch, lastman standing, tournament, or CTF based fast paced action multiplayer, but this time of course with new maps, weapons and characters to choose from
as well as DOOM 3 engine powered multiplayer goodness, which makes the ultimate combination of a fantastic engine and fabulous multiplayer.
Modifications
What kind of modification support does Quake 4 have
Well, for starters, the QE Radiant map editor that shipped with the game, which is in a nutshell, identical to the build of it that shiped with DOOM 3, should fulfill all your map editing suited needs. Then there's the SDK. This has just recently been released.
